Ciao Europa!

This picture was taken yesterday by #NASA #Juno during its 45th polar orbit around #jupiter

Side note I can’t process anything more for a while due to an eye condition 😭 this was done in a few minutes with only 1 eye open 😂 but the Incredible Europa was worth the pain!

Dimorphos and Didymos are just a single point of light rn but eventually they will separate into two

NASA calls off Artemis 1 moon rocket launch on Sept. 27 due to Tropical Storm Ian

NASA may roll the 32-story Artemis 1 rocket into a hangar due to the storm, which should reach hurricane strength next week.

If the team does decide to keep Artemis 1 on the pad, the mission could still conceivably hit the backup launch date of Oct. 2. A rollback to the cavernous VAB, however, would almost certainly take that day out of play as well.

The rocks at the Enchanted Lake area, where #Perseverance is currently operating, appear to be a thin layered crust of sediment. No wonder the rover finds it difficult to get one to keep its integrity under the pressure of the drill.

The wheel tracks in the background provide context for size:

"Zelensky in Russian addressed Russian soldiers 1) promised to follow all rules regarding POW 2) not to reveal whether a person surrendered or was captured 3) not to give back a prisoner if he doesn’t want return to Russia."

My little Artificial Unintelligent Agent informs me that #NASA's Deep Space Network (DSN) is communicating with the Italian CubeSat #LICIAcube which is on its way to witness #DART meeting its destiny onto asteroid #Dimorphos, on Mon. Sep 26, 2022 at 23:14:00 UTC (19:14:00 EDT). DSN is also currently communicating with DART.
