Lemmy is a free open source federated alternative to Reddit:

@LemmyDev

It's still in early beta and the federation isn't stable yet, but when it is finished it will make Lemmy part of the Fediverse through ActivityPub.

@FediFollows @LemmyDev@mkastodon.social I'm very interested in seeing this. Thanks for the links.

What is the Id of a lemmy community in order to follow it from an
#ActivityPub application? The URL won't work.

@ayla

Lemmy's Federation isn't stable yet, it is a work in progress.

@LemmyDev would be able to tell you more about its status.

@FediFollows @LemmyDev For the past couple weeks #Lemmy has been a disaster cosmetically. On the main landing page, all the text is packed into the leftmost 10% of the screen, and pics take up the whole width of the screen yet they only have a ~1 inch height. I can only see 2 posts per screen. This is w/all j/s enabled in Ungoogled #Chromium.

@koherecoWatchdog @FediFollows can you reproduce this in another browser or with a fresh browser profile? any errors in the browser console?

@LemmyDev @FediFollows i'm not sure what an error looks like in console. The first line says "no JWT cookie found", which seems suspect for something. Also, the problem goes away if I login.. it seems to only be a disaster when logged out. Also, Firefox works fine.
