There are two wolves inside me:

“I should get a dumbphone so I can be more present.”

and

“I should get a larger phone so I can more easily read all 200+ chapters of Kaguya-Sama: Love is War that just dropped on the Viz app instead of paying any attention to the real world.”

Are there many instances of servers that are geographical areas, like towns, instead of interests? I’m looking for inspiration, but also curious to know the dynamics of user-groups by location, with potentially very different social views/opinions/etc.

I was randomly curious about the history of the @ symbol. Well, now I know… en.wikipedia.org/wiki/At_sign

Looking back at my music collection… top played artists are:

1. The Postal Service
2. Sia
3. The Killers
4. Jem
5. Dashboard Confessional.

That definitely ages me from when I listened to the most music. 😁

I want to use , but without fully integrated user profiles, it just doesn’t work for me. It’s sad to see it languish.

@autumn How are you running triangletoot.party? Self-hosting?

Mastodon feature idea: A app with integrated reader, so when clicking through to great personal sites, you can easily subscribe.

Birbcam is back! It was a problem with one of the USB cables, I think it got wet yesterday and it's shorting. ^.^

IIt's important to note that Masto (and the fediverse) is not an 'alternative Twitter'. It's an entirely different platform that has its own unique culture. We don't chase likes or follows or popularity, we don't present as brands or 'personalities'. We care about each others' personal lives and wholesome engagement on a more individual level.

If you're going to use a Masto to Twitter crossposter, please keep this in mind, and ideally, cross post from here to there, and not there to here.

what's the most despicable tech company, retoot for exposure

This needs to be here. — A metal piece we saw while on an trip last year in Fish Creek, Wisconsin. :mastodon:

I would rather gain features than having to keep signing up for new sites like , etc. Anyone else?

Hello! Here’s my #introduction - I’m a climate sci-fi author hoping to connect with other #clifi #climate #scifi authors across Mastodon. 🌎

Relics of Dawn is a climate sci-fi adventure I wrote for our changing world. In it, an act of creation… begins with destruction.

We need the ability to toot to only our local feed(community or instance)

Please boost.

Tweet as if you’re on a stage, yelling to a loud and raunchy crowd. Toot as if you’re on a picknick, where you can look everyone in the eye. It’s that simple :)

Definitely needs to copy bird site’s lists or communities feature… something to help with following groups that span servers.
