@Susan_Larson_TN While remaining cognizant that this is a case of intentionally "othering" people, I feel like the contexts are extremely important here.

I feel like we have successfully normalized "weird" on the Left in that we largely accept that normal is a wide spectrum of differences.

The Right which can't accept anything but an industrially homogenized version of "normal" is highly offended at the notion that compliance with their proscriptive norms is itself abnormal

@Susan_Larson_TN It's also important for all of us to remember that we don't have the luxury of waiting for the absolutely perfect answer. We win or we die in the concentration camps.

As long as we're not openly advocating for violence and the death of our opposition, we're nowhere near "as bad as them". There's no equivalence between the Democrats calling the GOP "weird" and the QAnon/Nazi coalition literally calling for death to dissenters.
