To @chuckjordan and other appreciators of fluffy friends. This is Jules, one of my best friends.

I hope the five-star review I gave for Gluon helps @vincent and compensates for the unnecessary one-star someone else entered.

๐Ÿ“š I hope no one shoots the messenger. Some thoughts on a short book about a different kind of love.

Ironically I told a colleague today I rarely run 5K, and usually a lot more. ๐Ÿƒ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™€๏ธ

Well, Iโ€™ve got my comeuppance. I could only run 5K tonight. My legs felt like lead.

๐Ÿ“ท Still, it was a beautiful sunset.

Online privacy needs to be more rigorous. Private firms have no right to track anyone.

I find it ironic that the BBC has become an activist on environmental issues, yet their listings magazine comes in a plastic bag with extra junk mail enclosed.

My wife will be disappointed. A friend sent me a box of what we thought was Portuguese wine, as an early birthday present. Which Iโ€™m sure would have been nice.

But never assume anything by its delivery packaging.

It was seven types of craft beer. ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿบ

A drive through the Autumn countryside. We stopped to take the view at the Windy Gap, while we waited for Ritaโ€™s mini to get serviced.

Grand surroundings for brunch, before the semi-lockdown begins. French toast, bacon and maple syrup. I also had my first coffee outside home in seven months.

๐Ÿƒ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿ“ท I took this photo of a nearby lough on yesterdayโ€™s lunchtime run. One reason I donโ€™t join a running club is I donโ€™t think they would appreciate the photo stops.

Seven months working from here. This is home, where I want to spend the rest of my life with Rita - nestled among the trees of an ancient ring fort.

I love Autumn (or The Fall), and thanks to my iPhone, I received an On this day memory.

From late September to mid-October 2008 Rita and I travelled to the USA to enjoy New England in the Fall. We had a wonderful time. Oddly though, it has been our only visit to America, so far.

๐Ÿƒโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™‚๏ธI love my new running route, with miles more narrow country roads. Todayโ€™s lunchtime run was 7.8 miles, taking me by a spooky house and field upon field of maize.

๐Ÿƒโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™‚๏ธToday on my lunchtime run, I wondered why it had taken six years to discover more of my local countryside. I can only guess that my longer runs are encouraging me to explore new routes. Today offered beautiful Autumn colours and quiet roads.

A robin redbreast (Erithacus rubecula) has been banging his head on our patio doors for two days. I think he has confused his reflection with an intruder in his territory.

On a cold and sunny day in Dublin, a trip to see The Rolling Stones provided some valuable life lessons. Maybe some day weโ€™ll enjoy similar days again. sayitwiththelighton.blog/life-

Today I am grateful for everything. Just as I am every day. Iโ€™m grateful for my life, my family and love shared with my wife, and the health I enjoy.

I am grateful for the people I know, the income I have and freedom to go out running in the beautiful sunshine. ๐Ÿƒ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™€๏ธ

Today, I bought myself a new coat for winter. Best of all, I fitted a size medium, instead of large. Yay ๐Ÿ˜Š
