i wonder if a crt anti-glare coating could be replaced with good results by an anti-glare *film*. This monitor has a pretty bad scuff in its coating...but it's a Trinitron - face is a cylindrical section, not spherical, so a film could lie flat...

the usual coating is a chemical thinfilm stuff, no chance of reapplying. but I see stick-on films meant for application to LCD monitors are a thing
