@indirection nothing. manual pain. lately i've also been digging about using git over email.
@betoissues I mean, git hooks are only useful to run things on certain git actions. I'm not surprised they aren't used more often; they're used precisely as often as they're needed.
Why git over email? Email has inherent properties and structure which git doesn't.

@indirection so far i see more use for git server hooks, mostly simple CI stuff that shouldn't require something like Jenkins or gitlab CI go be done.
as for email, is not that i've liked it but some projects i've followed recently use this patches workflow instead of github/gitlab and is something i'd actually like to learn
