We're new on Mastodon, but we've been publishing science fiction for over 16 years. Our latest issue is out today at:

@clarkesworld I don't think Twitter is going anywhere, but it's good to see you here. Not many people with 40,000 followers coming on over so far.
@clarkesworld Well, not going anywhere in the near term.
@fatsam Fairly certain it isn't going anywhere. Less than 1% of our followers have left the platform since most recent addition to the list of reasons arrived. We'll keep our presence there for now, but I've completely changed how I'm willing to engage with it. Still feeling my way around here, but it has potential.
@clarkesworld Welcome to the fediverse!
@clarkesworld it’s awesome to see you on the fediverse!
@clarkesworld woohoo. Very glad to see Clarkesworld on here. Welcome!
@clarkesworld welcome! Just want to say I love and really appreciate what you and Kate Baker (and everyone else) do! Really helped keep me going and expand my horizons. Was a citizen for years
@clarkesworld Just started subscribing via Weightlessbooks.
@sohkamyung Thank you!
@clarkesworld BTW, you might be interested in BookWyrm also, which is a more book specific social network that can connect to Mastodon.
I already have an account there as @sohkamyung@bookwyrm.social
@sohkamyung I'll definitely check it out. Thanks!
@clarkesworld you might want to put your @handle@server in your Twitter profile, it makes it easy for followers to use tools like fedifinder to find you if they migrate
Welcome to the Fediverse! It's so nice to see you!
I ditto this about putting your Mastodon handle in your Twitter bio. It will not only make you easier to find, but sometimes people (like me!) like to follow people on one account and not the other.
It's very friendly here. Quiet, yet much more interactive. I hope you enjoy your time here!
@rszasz Will have to rewrite my profile there to fit it. They barely give you any room.
@clarkesworld a pinned comment works too, the @handle@server format works well so Twitter doesn't turn it into a shortened link
@clarkesworld
I'm a regular listener to the podcasts and a supporter of Clarkesworld. Glad to see them showing up on Mastodon!
Great #SF stories; recommended if you are looking for a regular source of quality fiction. And please support them if you like what they're doing.
@clarkesworld glad to see you here!
@clarkesworld love the podcast and magazine!
@Dananner Thank you!
@clarkesworld Hi and welcome! I'm still hedging my bets and hanging onto Twitter, but it's so nice to see the #sciencefiction and #fantasy community making its way over.
Here's hoping the #writingcommunity and #readingcommunity take off here, too. It's always nice to get in on the ground floor when a new platform opens up.
