@Tutanota Well, as somebody who had to give full access to my phone and let it be examined by security staff at Orly airport (in fact employees of EL AL), without me being present during whatever they did with the device, I somehow think the issue is a bit deeper than that. I could refuse, but then I was told I could not board the plane. Yes, EL AL is not a European company, but they operate in Europe, and I am an EU citizen. Was that legal, dunno.
