Pinned toot

Like any author, I sincerely appreciate it when someone writes a review for my novel. Even some of the bad reviews are actually quite cool. And when someone takes the time to make a video review (and is not asked to do so), well ... to say I bounce around the room like a child on a sugar-high would be an understatement. Check out this awesome video review for Ama, made by Narik Chase on YouTube.

I wonder how many preppers are currently living in their bunkers, and when did they decide it was time to lock the doors on their underground sanctuary?

I'm loving my new Aspire Nautilus GT vape tank. A solid and well made piece of kit which is producing a smoother vape than any other tank I've used.

So u know how some quirky words are just fun 2 say? Like conundrum, hyperbole, loquacious, brouhaha, drambuie. U know, words like those. I answered someone 2day with 1 of those fun words; subterfuge. Go me!!!

Sam Bates, aka Smug, is an Australian street artist in Glasgow.
Here’s one of his latest pieces on the High Street.

It took about a week to paint, though still needs a few finishing touches to the hand.
As far as I’m aware it depicts Mungo in modern-day clothes.
Mungo is Glasgow’s patron saint, born in the 6th century.

Watching 'Breaking bad' again while waiting for season 2 of 'The boys' to finish so I can binge watch it. The adventures of Walter White are still as good now as they were way-back-when. A bit annoyed that the Google Play box set I bought seems to have all the swearing censored out. The big G is such a drippy spoilsport.

European Bison, by MrLux. These pretty beasts almost disappeared from the face of the earth in the 1920's (Wikipedia). Still missing someone to animate them and sounds #indiegamedev #creativecommons #fauna

A rant.

Feeling a tad miffed after seeing that the download stats for my novel have gone well into double figures on Barnes & Noble, where the NOOK book is available for free, yet not one bloody reader can be bothered to give it a star rating, let alone write a review.

Ratings help other like minded readers find hidden gems within the avalanche of books released each year.

Okay, rant over. I’m going back to slurping my coffee.

I have just been introduced to a refreshingly twisted series called ‘The boys’. I’m only a couple of episodes in, but I’m already hooked by its dark humour.

If, like me, you’re fed up with the endless train of tiresome superhero crap being vomited upon the screen lately, I highly recommend giving this tv fix a go because it’s good, damn good.

Just watched 'All creatures great and small' and 'Des' while partaking in a rather good bottle of red.

Enjoying the little things in these times of confusion and madness.

Happy to say that I have purged myself of Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and a shed load of other online irritations. It feels like I’ve lanced a pus-filled boil.

Great new features are coming to LibreOffice 7.1, due early next year, thanks to student developers in the Google Summer of Code @gsoc! For instance, you'll be able to get templates and add-ons directly inside LibreOffice itself:

My of 'Wildlife Gardening' by Kate Bradbury.

I wanted to know more about British wildlife, specifically how to encourage the various birds, insects, and mammals to come into my garden and maybe make a home here. I also love the idea of letting my garden find its own way, without too much interference from me. This book will, I believe, help me turn my garden into an oasis for all the wonderful little critters that are having such a hard time.
