I can unfollow crossposter's accounts, but I don't want to unfollow everyone who boosts a twitter crosspost.
Please, #fediverse, let's boost the fediverse, not twitter. If we want to share a good tweet, let's treat it like any other URL from the web.
Someone explain to me why that is not illegal ( inside trading ):
"July 22: Congressmen Mo Brooks, Ed Perlmutter and Mike Conaway all bought Pfizer stocks in June/July right before the US gov signed a $1.95 billion vaccine contract"
This is a long shot, but I want to put the power of social media and federation to the test.
My son wants to become a commercial airline pilot when he’s grown up. It would be awesome if we could find a commercial pilot in the fediverse that we can follow and ask questions of.
If everyone who reads this could boost it, it would be much appreciated and it would mean the world to my son if he could get in touch with a real-life commercial pilot! ✈️

This concept of servers/instances on here is throwing me around a bit. If I want to join another instance and appear on its local feed, it's kind of like making another account essentially? New username, password etc.
But people from that instance can still find me and I can find them even if I don't go signing up to their instance?
So does it matter what instance I'm signed up to?
