Morning all. The teaching semester is mostly over, but I start teaching about science outreach and communication skills to the astro Queen’s University Belfast grad students today. This week’s 2 hour class is on expectations, elevator pitches, short mini talks, and tailoring your talk to public versus research audiences.

My #introduction is that I am an American planetary scientist/astronomer living in Belfast studying small bodies in our Solar System, seasonal processes on Mars, and dabbling in exoplanets.
