Intro v1.0

I find anonymity more comfortable than accuracy, pronouns are whatever occurs to you.

If I wander into a thread unwanted, forget to CW, boost anything or anyone sketch, forget I've sent you multiple follow requests, or am otherwise a nuisance, please let me know.

Spent my commute home daydreaming about several of the things I'm reading, popped open mastodon to type my rambling into the void, saw a response to an instance inquiry I'd sent out a bit ago.
Given my earlier intentions, wandering.shop feels like a good place to settle down.
Moving momentarily, just skimming the local timeline for neat follows to take with me!

The library being closed has really cut down on the number of physical books I get through, so I've gotten used to reading on my phone.
I keep putting my book down, stepping away to do something, and then pulling out my phone to-
What was I doing again? ? ???

quick CAD sketch of my office buddy, and a half-assed colorization in mspaint because I wasn't going to fuss with line widths or hatching for a proper export

Fuck this fir tree though. The pine needles are long enough to clump, at least.
The gutters on the corner by the big fir are just filled with this homogeneous mass of decaying gunk that you've got to scoop out bit by bit.

Freezing fistfuls of sodden pine needles aside, turns out the west slope of the roof is a cozy place to spend an afternoon.

As promised, little jerk.

Cat managed to unplug my phone and throw it off the desk.
It's the weekend. Late breakfast day. Go eat your kibble.

Remembering how much I appreciate the CW and sensitive image tools on here, while simultaneously clicking through every one of them without pausing for a moment.
Dead doves everywhere and only myself to blame.

Today I learned about the BBC TV detector vans:
en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/TV_det

From some initial searching, I can't tell if these things were a scare tactic or not. Either way, wild stuff.

Huh. I swear follow requests used to pop up in notifications so you could approve them. Whoops. Add that to my mobile check-in routine.

Old plum tree is ready for this weekend's windstorm now, at least.

Almost got run over by an empty Ford Focus just now.
Pro-tip:
When pushing your junk cars down the driveway a few feet (in order to trim trees), get help BEFORE you reach the slope.

Is this NOTE thing on profiles what I think it is?
Very convenient.

Much better. Neat to see updates from all these people who have no idea who I am.
Definitely need to do some unfollowing though.

Sweet, already got COVID conspiracies popping up in my alerts. Getting whiffs of the new brand of crazy.
On the to-do list: Pinned intro posts.
I prefer to be a cipher, in that I find anonymity more comforting than being accurately referred to. I also tend to stay low-key enough to avoid major harassment, so I don't often block or silence even true annoyances.
That said, I'm not here to broadcast nonsense, so don't expect interaction.
