Heyo! I'm starting posting with my best so you can be disappointed by the rest 😂 I had gone to St Louis with a friend of mine right during my peak excitement as a new photographer and I took probably 100 shots of the Gateway Arch with my DSLR and had no idea what I had until I came home and started playing around with them. Honestly this was luck. The weather was perfect. It was stormy and I remember getting knocked around by the wind, but the lighting just 👌 #Photography #BlackAndWhite

This cool old doorknob is from the entrance to the rental cabin we stayed in during our trip to Green Mountain Falls, CO. The previous guests forgot to secure the bear lock on the garbage bin so we had an adventure one morning after the bears helped themselves the previous night. Back to the image. I loved the intricate details in the doorknob and how the light really set them off.

Our family loves to be on the water when we can, especially in a kayak or canoe. Luckily for us, this lake is only a 5 minute drive from our home so we frequent it in the summers. This image is of my daughter one evening at sunset.

Two of my kids and I went for a walk near Lake Mendota on the campus of the University of Wisconsin Madison. There wasn't much going on that evening, but my son found a duck out on this pier and went to introduce himself. I love the innocence in this image.

These 'weeds' are so beautiful when you take the time to see the details. I was waiting for my son's soccer practice to end one afternoon and was sitting near this dandelion so I thought I'd see if I could get a shot from underneath it. I love how enormous this dandelion looks from this perspective. You never know what you'll see when you get close to the ground. I'm usually amazed.

From the first afternoon out playing with the new camera.

One last beach sunset photo. I promise :)
For this one, I got closer to the lake and waited for the sun to get a little lower.

What to do if you got a beautifully composed shot of a very shy animal, but it is terribly ISO-noised? Turn it black and white, adjust the contrast a bit and enjoy the vintage look! :-)
