I'd never understood or "got" Shakespeare until I saw a live performance.
One of the best I've seen was by "Shakespeare in the Squares" doing Midsummer Night's Dream in 2019. Highly recommend for anyone in London.
I'm hoping to see them this summer; they perform outside so it's quite safe in terms of Covid.
@Tattooed_mummy Completely agree. It's a shame so many people just give up on it after reading it at school - like I nearly did. Seeing it live completely changed my opinion.

@pineapplepg Ive seem a few plays live, always so good. I think we forget that are plays and not really meant to be read, but watched!
