@robey A pulse? Seriously, the spammy recruiters don't seem to check anything. They are shot-gunning people with positions and vice versa

@SuricrasiaOnline This is unedited XKCD 2583... but it really seems like a mastodon shitpost with stick figures anyway?

@scanlime Try hissing at normie co-workers to indicate "don't interrupt me." Wife did that once. It didn't go over as well as it would have amongst our friend group.

At the aquarium, and I know what my genie wish is. I want to have as much fun as the otters appear to be having.

@rootfs hah. I had life happen, and dropped Travelers midway too. This was a recent pick up. Apparently I stopped at the best/worst possible spot. Episodes were made in 2018, and without knowing it, I stopped just before the episode with a global pandemic, related to SARS, highly contagious, with no cure. Life imitating art.

@rootfs another vote for Fringe, and Everything, Everywhere... Good stuff!

If you like that kind of stuff, think you will like Travelers. Agents from the future time travel to the present by "overwriting" people who were about to die anyway, and assuming their lives.

Apple+ is free from my phone provider. I wouldn't pay for it, but Foundation was good.

Disney+ is necessary, as I have a kid of target age who loves all the Marvel stuff. Encanto and Frozen also get a lot of play.

@rootfs finished " Travelers" on Netflix. Started "Severance" on AppleTV. Started "Miss Marvel" with the kid on Disney+.

And if you're a white guy in America like me, I can't possibly express enough how it's not the right time to tell women how to think or feel about any of this right now. Please, I'm begging you - sit this one out.

sorry boss, can't work today, accidentally read news headlines again

@davscomur you are most welcome. Sometimes it just helps to know somebody is listening.

Cheers, and good luck .

@davscomur On Android, there is a meditation app called Balance I rather like. It's got a free trial, and I've used some of the emotional centering guess meditations before.

Anger is a rough one to deal with.

Standard advice, breathe, center, count. Make a safe mental state from which you can observe without judging. Unpack the thoughts making you angry. Name them. Acknowledge them. See if you can let them go one at a time.

Thoughts are real, but not necessarily true.

Be kind to yourself.
