I really don't think we pay enough general attention to how wrong and unjust it is that we've set up most of this country so that if you don't own a car, your life will be extremely inconvenient- it will take you twice or three times as long to get places if there is a route at all.

And if you DO own a car, you have to shoulder the very heavy and very expensive burdens of car maintenance, repair, car payments, and car insurance. You shouldn't need to have to do all that, we need to make it much easier to live here and not own your own vehicle.

I was really depressed for the last two days because I left my ring on the lawn and the crows stole it BC shiny. It's irreplaceable and Akkas gave it to me two years ago so I was devastated. I dredged the pond and used a metal detector all over the lawn but it was gone. But today I cooked the crows bacon in the morning and this afternoon it was returned RIGHT WHERE I LEFT THE BACON!!!!!

My main thought about crypto is "ethereum" is too cool a word for them to have ruined, it sounds like a scifi future drug that gives you short range telekinesis or something

Here‘s something cispeople can and should do in public places that have gendered facilities like changing rooms, showers or toilets.

Approach the personell and ask them about how they think about trans people in those places. If they are inclusive, ask them to put up a notice or sign that the place is a safe space for us. Also, it creates awareness in other cis people that might be reacting in surprise or panic otherwise, putting us at constant risk.

For you, there’s no risk in doing this.

Dexter says I need to stop working and put in some proper cat time.

That lightning strike was so intense it made it look like day for a split second... And that one shook the house like an earth quake 😬

These Naked and Famous Rainbowcore jeans are such a cool idea: Denim is made from cotton yarns that have been dipped in indigo dye. As the dye fades, it reveals the undyed core of the yarn. Instead of using white like most denim does, these are made with rainbow dyed thread and the fade patterns are beautiful and unique. The streaking is a little like oil on water.

Some pics: poppies and tall rye growing as green manure; a hedgerow of hazel and wild rose; a pond, to encourage frogs to eat slugs in the adjacent polytunnels; and spring onions growing through a mat. Apparently one advantage of a may (along with water retention and suppressing weeds) is that it’s easy for volunteer planters to get the spacing right

A negative rapid test doesn't mean what it used to. Omicron has changed the game. If you’re turning symptomatic, assume you’re infectious; a negative RAT test isn't a pass to go out. theatlantic.com/health/archive
