Is anyone else finding January difficult? It's never my favourite month but it seems harder than ever this year.
The only good thing are the flowers in the garden and, surprisingly, there are quite a few if you look around.

@thechattygardener Yes I am. Nor mine, and I agree. I only have crocuses flowering on the plot at present, but sadly they've suffered in the weather we've had.
@Sofaflyer I’ve had only one crocus so far but the rest of the daffs are pushing through and there are still more snowdrops to come.
@thechattygardener well yes very hard here in California with a ling series of atmosoheric rivers bringing a glut of rain. On the positive side. Good for drought parched forests and gardens. And after today's storm we are in for a couple weeks of sun!

i'm no flower enthusiast (...yet?) but i like how comprehensive this is. i'm planning to start growing food but if no food grows in my winter these can certainly fill the void. nature's art ain't bad
