Astronomer Jim Thommes' detailed image shows NGC 1027, an open star cluster located in the constellation of Cassiopeia and located about 3,400 light years from the Solar System. It is located in the eastern part of the constellation between two popular nebulae, the Heart Nebula IC 1805 and the Soul Nebula Sh2-199.
