On Wednesday, the Jewish Insider magazine ran a story against Davis ; neoconservative radio jock Mark Levin helped spread the Jewish Insider story to his 4.9 million followers; within hours, Davis was informed there would be no job.

Neo-McCarthyism transcends traditional political boundaries when Palestinians are involved. Anat Kam's take in #Haaretz on the Mahmoud Khalil case is shockingly more extreme than even CNN's coverage. While CNN examines the serious civil liberties concerns of a man with a pregnant wife being targeted for Palestinian advocacy, "liberal" Haaretz labels him a "Hamas supporter" based solely on tenuous claims about a #CUAD manifesto. Khalil appears to be another victim of weaponized #antisemitism accusations - a Trump administration tactic championed by the #ADL (enough to make it obvious that this is political persecution for criticism of #Israel, not for support of terrorism) that Kam conveniently ignores - designed specifically to silence Palestinian voices.

We firmly believe there should be swift and severe consequences for those who provide material support to foreign terrorist organizations, incite violence in support of terrorist activities, or conceal their identities in order to harass and intimidate Jewish individuals and institutions with impunity. We appreciate the Trump Administration's broad, bold set of efforts to counter campus antisemitism — and this action further illustrates that resolve by holding alleged perpetrators responsible for their actions. Obviously, any deportation action or revocation of a Green Card or visa must be undertaken in alignment with required due process protections. We also hope that this action serves as a deterrent to others who might consider breaking the law on college campuses or anywhere.

I watched from the inside as the ADL erased racial justice from its civil rights priorities, caved to pressure from conservative media for being “too woke,” and quietly abandoned core education programs. The shift began with an internal pause on its use of the word “racism” while it sought a “new” definition (spoiler: they still don’t have one). Then, it removed “racial justice” from its portfolio altogether.

Rather than expand anti-bias education, it shut down a decades-old initiative that helped students challenge discrimination. Then, it removed more than 100 lesson plans that helped educators address bias against LGBTQ, Muslim, and immigrant students.

Used to be that #Jews understood the deal: #equality and opportunity are the product of #liberal #democracy. We have thrived by committing ourselves to furthering that democracy, creating the Goldeneh Medinah—the Golden Nation—a place of safety and prosperity for Jews, and for everybody else.

Two articles recently have me wondering what has happened to our community. One piece described the reception for Elise Stefanik at the #ADL conference. A number of listeners walked out on her speech (good for them!), but others reacted positively to being splattered with the bullshit she was flinging. Jonathan Greenblatt called that sniveling toady "exactly what we need". Et tu, Jonathan?

The other piece is an op-ed by Shalom Hartman Institute president Yehuda Kurtzer. Kurtzer expresses dismay at the American Jewish community's casual disregard for the American values we've adopted for centuries. He says nothing new—it's the fact he has to say it at all that's distressing. 1/
