The Irate Penguin 🇪🇺<p>Spent a year as-<a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/ExchangeStudent" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>ExchangeStudent</span></a> in <a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/Ohio" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>Ohio</span></a> in the 70ies, then college at <a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/NYU" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>NYU</span></a>, but they bookended my growing love for baseball as my favourite team sport.</p><p>In <a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/Cincinnati" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>Cincinnati</span></a>, it was the <a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/BigRedMachine" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>BigRedMachine</span></a>; later, in <a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/NY" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>NY</span></a>, the <a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/AmazinMets" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>AmazinMets</span></a> (even though I missed the 69 season).</p><p>I recall, wherever I was, racing to pick up the International Herald Tribune to check the latest scores.
