Could this be a Pine Siskin (Northern)?
Merlin ID often identifies sounds as them in my area but the birds are usually way up high in trees that are too far away to get a look at. At first I was thinking it could be one of the goldfinch varieties but the pattern looks like possible siskin.
Hmm, camera trap hasn't been recording anything, despite plenty of animal tracks. I guess maybe the sensor was too iced up.
