Could this be a Pine Siskin (Northern)?
Merlin ID often identifies sounds as them in my area but the birds are usually way up high in trees that are too far away to get a look at. At first I was thinking it could be one of the goldfinch varieties but the pattern looks like possible siskin.
Hmm, camera trap hasn't been recording anything, despite plenty of animal tracks. I guess maybe the sensor was too iced up.
If you don’t hate the sound of chewing ice, this video may entertain. Essentially, one raccoon is all about eating ice and the other raccoon is like “what are you… jeez Ted chewing ice is so weird”.
