This is not hyperbole: there is a recent example where it actually happened. Then they took a vote on the plan. Led by patriots like <a href="https://mastodon.au/tags/ToddBeamer" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>ToddBeamer</span></a> and many others, the heroes of Flight 93 were aware that they may lose their own lives in the attempt. Fresh from the vote and preparing to face the terrorists, Todd Beamer’s last recorded words are, “Are you ready guys? Let’s roll.”</p><p>The American people hold their vote as a thing that is sacred. A thing as sacred as the vote that those on board Flight 93 took that morning. The American people will not be cowed by terrorists, whatever their ilk. Even if Trump legitimately wins the Electoral College on Tuesday, the spirit of democracy will continue to shine stubbornly through whatever Trump and his lackeys throw at it. Democracy will out. You might reasonably ask, after all: they elected Trump president in 2016. People danced in the street at the news of his downfall. They say nothing about Trump's anti-Venezuelan hate speech (loaded with lies about supposed Venezuelan gangs taking over Colorado apartment buildings).</p><p>What many Trump critics don't realize is that attacking one group of Hispanic Americans doesn't equate to attacking ALL groups of Hispanic Americans in the eyes of Hispanic Americans.</p><p>It should - but in reality Trump and his cronies are playing the regional groups against each other. That's his true Hispanic policy - to isolate and demonize 1 or 2 groups of Hispanic Americans as part of his appeal to the others.</p><p>This sick strategy underscores the divisiveness among Latinos but it's subtle enough to have escaped the notice of many of Trump's critics.</p><p>I saw the strategy play out in street interviews with Hispanics in New York City after the rally. This is bizarre. A MAGA conservative (Katy Stamper) won the Democratic primary for Georgia Congressional district 11, so the Georgia Democratic Party is asking voters to write in Tracey Verhoeven (certified as a legitimate write-in candidate by the State of Georgia) as their designated candidate.
I don't vote in primaries (I'm an independent voter) so this is the first I've heard of this situation.
