Can anyone help me identify what this font might be?

It's from a publication called 5x7 by William Eggleston. I shot it very much at a skewed angle.

Tried to do a little perspective correction but wondering whether the original image is better to work with.

I tried What The Font finder, but not sure if that is not super reliable.

Assuming I'm putting together a tower that'll be used SOLELY for pulling data off of old media, is there a preferred distro that'll make things easy for me?

I plan on using the same box to pull from the following if possible:

5.25 & 3.5 floppies
Zip & jazz
Quarter inch tapes

I can keep this off the public Internet, so outdated software is an acceptable suggestion.

Any #fedihelp on this very old #RME #Digi9652 #Soundcard with #Linux?

I'm trying to get the SPDIF input to work.

So the RME card is clock master, distributing clock via Word Clock. It is hooked up via 3x ADAT I/O + Word Clock to a #Yamaha #01v96i.

Now I connected the SPDIF output of the 01V96i via a proper cable directly to the SPDIF input of the RME card (on its breakout cable). In theory, SPDIF signal should now appear on channels 25 and 26. But nothing ever happens. (Input channels 1-24 work without any issue via ADAT.)

Any ideas?

Perhaps @PaulDavisTheFirst remembers something about this very old card, is there something peculiar?

I notice the PSDIF sample rate sliders in #alsamixer which I can't move.

Or is my card broken even? I checked the output of the console with a Behringer SRC2496, it delivers correctly.

Es ist meine geliebte #Brockenhexe, die ich verloren habe. Ich habe sie vor Jaaahren auf dem #RudolstadtFestival geschenkt bekommen und natürlich keine Visitenkarte der Künstlerin oder des Künstlers.

Der Gag an diesem Anhänger ist, dass die #Hexe um die Schultern und Knie eine Achse hatte und damit lustig geschaukelt hat.

Hat jemand eine Idee, wo ich solche, einzelnen Aluführungsschinen als private Bastlerin herbekomme? Unser mittelgrosser Koffer ist bei der letzten Reise umgekippt und letztlich muss nur eine der beiden einfahrbahren Schinen ausgetauscht werden...Problem: ich brauche auch diese quadratische Bohrung, um das Endstück mit dem federnd gelagerten Einraststift (für die Höhenverstellung) zu fixieren (2 einzelne Löcher für den Griff könnte ich ggf. noch selbst bohren)...

Ihr wisst doch immer alles. Ich brauche einen Trafo für LED Lampen für draußen mit 10W. Der muss aber einen bestimmten Anschluss (siehe Fotos) haben. Mein jetziger hat den Geist aufgegeben, weil er nur für für 5W geeignet war. Weiß jemand wo ich so ein Teil finde. Habe schon einmal einen falschen bestellt, weil die Anschlüsse zwar alle ähnlich aussehen, aber doch unterschiedlich sind. Was könnte ich sonst noch machen?

So sehr ich meine Instanz chaos.social mag, so sehr fühle ich mich gehemmt zu schreiben. In dieser Zeit ist nahezu alles von Relevanz politisch.

Ich möchte keine Debatte über die Regeln zu Politik hier, sondern Vorschläge für Alternativen hören.

Ich suche eine technisch solide Instanz, die mir ein sicheres Umfeld von eher linken Menschen mit einem Interesse am politischen Zeitgeschehen bietet. Eher Analyse und Reflexion, als Skandalisierung.

Building the latest version of samba from source on my Raspberry Pi 5 because whenever I access my share from iPhone or iPad - even though I log in as a registered user - I only have read access.

On a Mac in Finder everything works perfectly well - just like on other Linux/Windows systems.

Hopefully newer SMB version will help.
Or if you guys know what might be the reason - help is greatly appreciated .
