BMS fitted batteries are a gift to radio amateurs

Ran it all the way down during the #hamradio #fieldday, unloaded it was at 11V and the BMS shut it off.

Charged it today with 3A at 14.5V and it shut off automatically when done. Doesn’t get more easy than this

Early morning sunrise behind the 7MHz GP we used at the OZ2EDR #hamradio Region 1 #fieldday.

As simple as this antenna is, made entirely from five 10m cuts of cheap speaker wire, it works extremely well. Over the years it has been a rock solid foundation for thousands of QSOs

Last shift of my first #fieldday is over. Worked on 20m and was able to get some more QSOs in the log.

We have over 350 #qso already for the #iaru #fieldday #contest and are still somewhat awake and barely sane now for the next 300 until 13:00 UTC! #amateurfunk #amateurradio #darc

OMG! This is crazy. 20m open to VK and ZL at the moment! I worked multiple stations and even one mobile station! Awesome #fieldday action.

My second #fieldday shift was so much fun! A lot of connections on 80 meters and 160 meters. Was my first time I've been QRV on 160m.

Tomorrow, Sunday morning local time (target 0600z) I'll be doing #ParksOnTheAir from BE-0240 while handing out some Points in Region 1 #fieldday .
Focus on 40m SSB for FD but of course I'll be more than glad to key up in CW. Just ask.

We‘re having fun with the #iaru region 1 #fieldday #contest in the middle of a field with our radio trailer Good contacts so far with our beam (20-10m) and a dipole (160-10m) hanging from our 12m high mobile mast, plus a nice vertical (40-10m) a bit further back in the field. We‘re at 70 contacts right now and counting. The goal is 600 for this year’s contest #amateurfunk #amateurradio #DARC
