Yesterday the #H2O web server #NixOS module merged into #Nixpkgs with #HTTP3 / #QUIC support to be super easy.

An example of a simple reverse proxy usage, with compression + ACME + HTTP/2 + HTTP/3 + TLS redirect + Mozilla recommended TLS settings, would look like:

Hab mich gestern mit einem Lehrer aus einer Matheschule unterhalten. Ich habe ihm erzählt, dass der Aufnahmetest für die Heinrich-Herzt-Schule zu #DDR-Zeiten aus zwei Teilen bestand. Zum einen gab es einen Mathetest mit Knobelaufgaben und dann ein politisches Gespräch. In diesem Gespräch wurde man gefragt, ob man denn drei Jahre zur Armee gehen würde. Mit 13. Ich fand die Idee damals spontan nicht so prickelnd und war damit raus. Nur dem Einsatz meiner Eltern ist es zu verdanken, dass die Mathematik dann doch gesiegt hat (nachdem ich dem Direktor meiner POS versichert hatte, dass es eigentlich schon immer mein sehnlichster Wunsch gewesen sei, drei Jahre meiner Jugend irgendwo rumzusitzen und zu warten, dass sie vorbeigeht. Ich glaube, ich hatte das anders formuliert.)

Jedenfalls meinte mein Gesprächspartner, dass es jetzt ja auch politische Aufnahmegespräche gegeben habe. Ich habe etwas geschluckt und nachgefragt und er hat erklärt, dass die Testergebnisse ja nicht genau 60 Personen liefern würden, die dann die Plätze bekommen würden, sondern vielleicht 40 sehr gute und dann 40 gute Personen, aus denen man irgendwie auswählen muss. Mit diesen wurden dann Gespräche geführt und es war bis vor zwei Jahren so, dass Mädchen bevorzugt wurden. Dann gab es ein Gerichtsurteil, dass das verboten hat.

Ich finde das falsch.

Ich finde es auch absurd, denn alles, was wir an den Universitäten machen, wird bereits in frühster Jugend ausgehebelt. In allen Stellenausschreibungen steht: Frauen werden bei gleicher Eignung bevorzugt. Warum sollte das für die Auswahl von Matheschulen anders sein?

Nun wird es wohl so, dass das reine Jungsschulen werden.

In meiner Klasse war es übrigens so, dass wir insgesamt 24 waren und 8 davon waren Mädchen.

When I rode to my house yesterday in the afternoon I felt the energy in the street was not right

That was when I was 20 minutes out

At three 🕞 minutes distance I was absolutely certain that a lot was wrong, and I wasn't surprised when I saw the fire trucks close to the houses 🏠 in between the tax office and the brick street.

A massive fire 🔥 which started in an abandoned building {which burned to the ground} hit an apartment building with about 16 units, then raged through a wooden house where an acquaintance of mine lives, levelling that house in minutes. While the fire 🔥 was burning the wooden one story house was also charring the house beside it.

The fire department had experience with a massive fire in my street more than a decade ago, came with everything {twelve trucks including tankers} and they came fast.
Everyone who was living in the apartment building evacuated safely. A woman ♀️ who I know well confirmed that fact.
However my acquaintance was already intoxicated by the fumes and refused to leave the house thinking that the rescue team from the fire department were robbers!
He was standing with a shotgun ready, didn't point it at them, but refused to leave.
The rescue team was forced to leave him behind and he fell unconscious. When they heard the thump of his corpus hitting the wooden floor, they grabbed him and rushed him to hospital, where he succumbed to the smoke inhalation.

So the abandoned building ignited the apartment building which ignited the wooden house which charred the building beside it. In total three buildings burned, two charred and One person suffocated in the ER. The fire was under control within a very reasonable time, given the fact that my fire department does not have the equipment they need to get every year.

My sincerest Thanks goes to the fire rescue team, because without them the whole block would have burned down...
