For all the talk about the trade between Canada and the US, there are only three #intercity passenger #rail #trains that travel between them, the Amtrak Maple Leaf between NYC and Toronto once per day, the Amtrak Adirondack between NYC and Montreal once per day, and the Amtrak Cascades between Eugene, OR, and Vancouver, BC, formerly six times per day, currently once per day (I think) due to premature corrosion failures of the trainsets causing them to be pulled from service.

Now it's official: only 14 days before the first depature the new train pair between #Madrid 
and #Logroño via #Burgos and #Haro is announced to run from 11 April 2025.
It turned out to be an #Intercity service (not Alvia) operated with a series 121 train set (2°class only). It will run daily except Sundays to Logroño and except Saturdays back. Therefore, the sparsely operated section between #Miranda and Logroño receives a 2nd train pair.

Przykładem jest najbardziej obciążona i zniszczona 10 letnią modernizacją linia z Warszawy do Gdańska.
Istnieją połączenia z Warszawy na Pomorze Środkowe z przesiadką w Iławie, gdzie z magistrali zjeżdżają pociągi do Olsztyna a wjeżdżają na nią pociągi z Olsztyna do Kołobrzegu. I to byłaby dobra alternatywa dla połączeń z przesiadką w Gdyni bo pociągi do/z Olsztyna są mniej obciążone.
Ale czasy przesiadki to zazwyczaj ponad godzina, co czyni to połączenie nieatrakcyjnym

Nice detail: Since yesterday it is again possible to travel with a conventional #Talgo train set (loco-hauled) between #Barcelona and #Valencia, though only 1x per week at the moment.
During the works all #Intercity trains are diverted via Camp de Tarragona (LAV) and were changed to 120/121 train sets with variable gauge. Now the weekly IC services 1131 (on Fridays) and 1382 (on Sundays) run again broad-gauge only serving the inner-urban #Tarragona railway station.
