After breakfast at the Essential in Interlaken, went to Kandersteg to visit the Oeschinensee, an alpine lake, via gondola. After hiking to the lake and back, we visited the town of Thun to see Schloss Thun. We stopped at Spiez before returning to Interlaken for dinner.
Roving SunOeschinensee and ThunAfter breakfast at the Essential in Interlaken, we took the train to Kandersteg to visit the Oeschinensee, an alpine lake accessible by gondola. After hiking to the lake and back, we visited the town of Thun to see Schloss Thun, its historic castle. We briefly stopped at Spiez to enjoy the view before returning to Interlaken for dinner.

End of season closing trail run with fried. We managed to finally connect Stechelberg to Kandersteg. Making it at 33kms and 3100m altitude gain my steepest climb ever.
On the #Lötschberg
tunnel car-carrying train from #Goppenstein to #Kandersteg. (There’s no road tunnel up here.) In front of us: a sheep trailer marked “Tiertransport” - and you can hear their baa and meh. They’re going home after having spent the summer in the #Valais Alps.

Das #KISC Internationale Pfadfinderzentrum #Kandersteg beteiligt sich mit einem Umzug von ca 1500 Pfadis an der örtlichen Feier zum #Schweiz er Nationalfeiertag.
