“We were in M&S cafe and about to order when someone came over and asked if we were ordering hot drinks. They gave us a free hot drink voucher as they had a spare one they weren’t going to use.
I think the person felt a bit awkward about asking a total stranger so I thought it was brave to put themselves out of their comfort zone to show some kindness and brighten our day.”

My child has not been in school for 2 months suffering with #mentalHealth problems. Yesterday I went to a #parents evening and talked with most of his #teachers. Every one of them offered something: special classes, sending work home, suggested timetable changes, #school swaps, video calls... And they all expressed their sadness that my child wasn't able to be in class.
Teachers have a HARD job, so to offer all this was amazing, I was moved to tears by the care and humanity they showed. THANK YOU!

Overheard bus driver helping someone get their lost phone back. He had called around to find where the bus it was lost on was and when it would be back and told THAT driver the owner would be waiting. Way more #kindness than just telling her to call lost property which he could easily have done.
People living with #dementia deserve empathy, not correction.

I have a tiny fridge at my desk that I hold my morning energy drinks in. It died about a week ago. A coworker and I were talking and he said that he had one just sitting under his bed I could have if I wanted it. So, he brought it in today for me.
That was a nice start to my morning.
