DG1JAN :mastodon:<p>I got a request on Monday from our <a href="https://radiosocial.de/tags/hamradio" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>hamradio</span></a> friends in Luxembourg. The @LuxTecSchool was planing a Balloon mission for today (during the <a href="https://radiosocial.de/tags/eclipse" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>eclipse</span></a>) but didnt had a sufficent tracker device. Luckily I had enough parts to build a tracker and a small base station and some antennas for Lora <a href="https://radiosocial.de/tags/aprs" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>aprs</span></a> on 433MHz. Now, mission accomplished. But, <a href="https://c64.page/tags/nixos" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>nixos</span></a> arguably got even better package support and I don't feel the need to use flatpaks any more.</p><p>On the server side, <a href="https://c64.page/tags/archlinux" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>archlinux</span></a> is really not an option. <a href="https://c64.page/tags/nixos" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>nixos</span></a> got a 6 months stable support cycle with easy upgrades. No more <a href="https://c64.page/tags/LTS" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>LTS</span></a> expiration dread.</p><p><a href="https://c64.page/tags/nixos" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>nixos</span></a> is badly documented and the <a href="https://c64.page/tags/nix" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>nix</span></a> language is advanced.
