Maybe I’m just a curmudgeon, but I’ve had two #Lyft drivers in #Tesla who depended very heavily on the self-driving and… I feel like you should have to opt-in to that?

I’m incredibly uncomfortable with gambling my life on #elonmusk tech and can you imagine dying in a Tesla? How embarrassing.

Lyft appears to have updated its app for airport pickups, where you don't match with a driver until your phone's GPS matches the pickup spot.

Clever, except airport pickup spots are often under layers of concrete, and the app has no manual override to say I'm actually here.

I spent 30 minutes walking across multiple lanes of traffic trying to get my phone's reported GPS location into the zone on the map.

#UX that need to do better: #Lyft 's and #Disney 's display names for user accounts. The American smart-phone apps don't accept Icelandic letters. That's odd: there is no sound technical reason for such limitations (as proven by Mastodon, for instance), and forces people with non-American letters in their names to seek alternatives. And that, in turn, will cause legal problems in countries that require one to use the name and spelling registered at birth and / or immigration. Do better.

📍لأن السيارة عندما وصلتها و أرادت الركوب أخبرها السائق بأنه غير متأكد إذا كانت سيارته الصغيرة قادرة على إستيعابها مما جعله يرفض توصيلها حتى لا تصاب مركبته بعطل بسبب وزن المغنية الذي يبلغ ٢٢٢ كيلوغرام 😊 (طولها ١٤٩ سنتيمتر).

📍المغنية قالت بأنها تعرضت لأذى نفسي و تطالب بالتعويض .. 😁
