Preaching mostly to myself here, but this also goes out to anyone else out there trying to share an urgent or at least important message through music:
You don't have time to make it perfect!
A weakness of the SFZ sampler format is that for normal humans, it is difficult to write the code required to do more than basic key mapping. Most SFZ files don’t include midi CC & modulation capabilities, because these are defined in the code
Solution: Use a synth or sampler plugin that doesn’t rely on SFZ for these things:
* TX16Wx
* TAL-Sampler
* Altitude
* Bliss
* Serum 2
* Falcon
* ….etc

@nixCraft Yeah, almost done with my switch from MSFT here as well.
Took me a bit of time to get all the #controllers for #MusicProduction to work, especially those pesky ones that don't do "normal" USB and have only proprietary Win software (LOOKING AT YOU, SOLID STATE LOGIC).
Games work fine. Audio works fine.
Fucking finally.

I may be a weirdo for this, but I generally prefer the sound of dynamic mics over condenser mics.
And I gotta show some more love to the Beta 58a. I used this mic to record a female vocalist last week, and with some subtle EQ, compression, and reverb for tracking, it sounded like a record already.

I have to say, I really love the interface of Serum 2. Very intuitive! I wish it was available for Linux…..
Music production: “Oh, I think I have enough DAW plugins now, I don’t need another one, thanks.“ Said no one, ever. 
Right. Music production. So…for every single plugin I get I first have to install that particular companys bespoke downloader app. I then often need to connect it to an iLok or an Native Instruments account. That sounds alright if we’re talking a handful of plug-ins. Doing it for each of the literally hundreds of plugins means half my drive will be full of license management apps. Sigh.
