However, due to various factors such as bounty hunts in the early 1900s, persecution, trophy hunting, poaching, retaliation against livestock predation, orphaning of kittens, poisoning, and habitat loss and fragmentation, they are now only found in 15 western states. The Florida panther, a genetically isolated subspecies, remains in the eastern part of the country.

Marissa and Louisa, the cougar sisters, are lounging in their den while the staff and interns work in their habitat. The sisters have two separate den areas and are kept apart at feeding time. However, for the rest of the day, they can choose to be together or spend time alone.

È arrivata a Hableh in un veicolo blindato delle Forze di Difesa Israeliane, ovviamente, come ospite di un battaglione dell'IDF chiamato battaglione #Panther, noto anche come battaglione “autorità”.
Uno dei molti vantaggi di questo particolare battaglione è che è misto.
Con indosso un elmetto e un giubbotto di ceramica, come si addice a un corrispondente di guerra, non è nemmeno riuscita a distendersi su una poltrona in una casa che l'esercito aveva espropriato dopo averne cacciato gli occupanti prima che la Spector assistesse a un “odio aperto e palese” negli occhi di due giovani che, per strada, avevano visto i soldati avvicinarsi alla casa rubata.
Si è spaventata. È davvero spaventoso vedere una casa espropriata.

After yesterday’s Michelotti proposal, today we are looking at another attempt at reskinning the Triumph Dolomite in order to give it a more modern, fancier look. I said a few weeks ago that there was a Panther connection to the small Triumph story and this is it - the 1975 Panther Rio, a Dolly re-clad in bespoke hand-beaten aluminium bodywork, with a Rolls-class wood and leather interior. Today, Panther’s not-at-all-retro final car, the Solo. This was initially conceived as a small mid-engined sports car but its promising prospects were scuppered before production by the arrival of the Toyota MR2 in 1984. In response, Panther decided to re-develop it as a bigger, heavier car with a roomier 2+2 body, a more powerful engine and all-wheel drive, Solo 2, although very few were sold. I saw this Solo 2 at the NEC Classic Car Show in 2017.
In 1976, Panther introduced the Lima, a much more affordable retro roadster for buyers whose budget didn’t stretch to yesterday’s De Ville. The Lima was replaced in 1982 by this, the visually almost identical Kallista, seen here at the 2024 NEC Classic Car Show. That said, the Lima and Kallista were quite different under the skin, with the Lima using a lot of Vauxhall parts, while the Kallista mainly leant on Ford for its mechanical bits.
