They don't understand that change is incremental, while chaos is instantaneous. </p><p>When I argued with Sanders supporters for Hillary in 2016, I asked them, weren't they afraid of Trump appointing right-wing partisan hacks to <a href="https://universeodon.com/tags/SCOTUS" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>SCOTUS</span></a>? </p><p>That wasn't enough of an argument to get them to look at the bigger picture and the long-term consequences of a Trump win. Same thing in 2024--the "purists" refused to vote for Harris, so here we are, in the midst of total chaos. Maybe it was meant to be, since it seems like Musk bought the election for Trump.
