A carnivorous ‘bone collector’ caterpillar dresses in the remains of its prey

A new carnivorous caterpillar that wears the remains of its prey has been dubbed the “bone collector.”

The odd insect is only found on the Hawaiian island of Oahu. It creeps along spiderwebs, feeding on trapped insects and decorating its silk case with their body parts.

@eniko I think everyone should not only have free and conditionless access to means of #survival but also #SocialParticipation.

  • If I wasn't dependant on #WageWork I'd still be a volunteer firefighter and propably do a lot different stuff that'll benefit society more longterm than the taxes and dues I currently pay.

It doesn't mean that I'd work less or less hard.

  • I'd just do different things that as of today don't work financially…

Review: Bokurano

Bokurano (Bokura No: Ours, ぼくらの), 2003-2009, Kitoh, Mohiro, Ikki STORY: 4 Meet not one, but fifteen school kids! They are fated to protect the earth using giant robots! We get a short good start and, very quickly, you realize you will never get any in-depth explanation about some cosmic-scale tragedy. You can feel that the mangaka has pitched the beginning of the story to the editor without having a solid vision on how to pursue or conclude. We are treated to one arc per kid but […]

GamingOnLinux · Popular mobile game Final Outpost: Definitive Edition arrives gets a PC release on May 22By Liam Dawe
Luna was working three jobs just to survive. Her day started at 4:30am and didn’t end until almost midnight. Coffee shop. Grocery store. Restaurant. And after all that? She didn’t go back to her apartment—because she didn’t have one.

She curled up in the back of her car, bundled in a sleeping bag, surrounded by what little she had. No bed. No bathroom. No break. Just the hope that someday things might get better—and the strength to keep going anyway.

This was real life. This is what survival looked like.

Working herself to the bone, being yelled at by managers, faking a smile for customers, and running on fumes for weeks at a time. Luna didn’t choose to be unhoused. She fought every day not to fall through the cracks—and still did.

It’s a story so many of us know too well. You do everything you’re supposed to. You work hard. You try your best. And yet, somehow… it’s still not enough.

This comic honors those who’ve had to fight for every inch of stability. It’s for anyone who’s ever slept in their car, taken the early shift just to eat, or been told to “work harder” while already doing the impossible.

You’re not alone. You never were.

Have you ever been through something like this? If this comic hits close to home, we’re listening. Your story matters too.
