My trip through the 2012 #RollingStone Top 500 Albums list has been successful in one way: it increased my appreciation of #TheKinks. I always felt the Kinks were a cool band, but 𝘚𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘌𝘭𝘴𝘦 (#289) and 𝘝𝘪𝘭𝘭𝘢𝘨𝘦 𝘎𝘳𝘦𝘦𝘯 𝘗𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘦𝘳𝘷𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘚𝘰𝘤𝘪𝘦𝘵𝘺 (#258) broadened my understanding of their playful genius.
The #232 pick on this list is 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗞𝗶𝗻𝗸 𝗞𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗶𝗸𝗹𝗲𝘀, a double album released in 1972. It’s a nice collection of songs, in the same strange but satisfying vein of other Kinks works. #music (cont)

Just so you know, the world of music will rightfully lose its mind with tributes and obituaries when Ray Davies dies.
