Was funktioniert hat. <br>Danach, VLC noch offen, aber auf Pause, konnte ich auf einmal die Filme in den Mediatheken wieder zum Laufen bringen. Das gleiche Prozedere heute wieder.</p><p>Woran das wohl liegen könnte? </p><p><a href="https://fairmove.net/tags/ManjaroKDE" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>ManjaroKDE</span></a> <a href="https://fairmove.net/tags/thinkpad" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>thinkpad</span></a></p>

hobbsc<p>alright opted for the <a href="https://social.sdf.org/tags/thinkpad" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>thinkpad</span></a> yoga... made an offer on fleabay. let's see where it goes.</p><p>the idea is i can use it in the noc, read PDFs for the control equipment on it by flipping the screen over like a tablet, and i have the bonus of plugging it in behind the tv and running <a href="https://social.sdf.org/tags/kodi" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>kodi</span></a> because it's got an HDMI port.</p><p>now the dilemma is do i run <a href="https://social.sdf.org/tags/bazzite" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>bazzite</span></a> or <a href="https://social.sdf.org/tags/bluefin" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>bluefin</span></a>? i already run one for work and the other on the desktop. i'll probably go with the former for the preinstalled kodi.</p>

Jeff Fortin T.<p>I've finally filed a bug report about the "0%&nbsp;backlight on resume" heisenbug with laptops and docking stations (or port replicators, or external displays), which has been annoying me for decades on <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/Linux" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Linux</span></a> with any <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/ThinkPad" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>ThinkPad</span></a> model I've used (also reportedly affects <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/Framework" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Framework</span></a> laptops too): <a href="https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/upower/upower/-/issues/304" rel="nofollow noopener" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">gitlab.freedesktop.org/upower/</span><span class="invisible">upower/-/issues/304</span></a></p><p>I'm not even sure I filed it in the right place. Which <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/FreeDesktop" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>FreeDesktop</span></a> component might be causing this is completely arcane knowledge.</p>

Kancept<p>Fediverse...I might actually put a sticker on my laptop and I dunno what to do. It's weird. I've never in my life understood why people do it and I'm not sure that I really want to. I don't even go anywhere with my laptop. 😂 I dunno if I wanna mess up the finish of my laptop (it's a <a href="https://infosec.exchange/tags/thinkpad" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>thinkpad</span></a>, not an aluminum machine and seems to be the thing people do).</p><p><a href="https://infosec.exchange/tags/firstworldproblems" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>firstworldproblems</span></a> </p><p>Also, while typing this, I noticed that Tuba highlights the matching parentheses while typing.</p>
Daniel Wayne Armstrong<p>I've been gifted a Thinkpad X220 that's been lying dormant a number of years. </p><p>Instead of my usual Debian I _was_ going to install Arch, but now I'm thinking of making it a dedicated BSD machine.
