Reprovisioned our household today. Picked up some fun items for Mom, Hubby also interested: Oreo, Snickers, & Dove Dark Chocolate instant puddings. Much fun speculating on puddings flavored Three Musketeers, Milky Way, & Heath Toffee, which seem to be overlooked marketing opportunities.

Kitty allowed herself to be captured, nested in my lap, and slept nearly an hour with her head on my hand. Aww! 🥹 Sweet feeling.

It's just great to feel good, a day feeling GOOD.

Went out to dinner by myself. This is a big step for me, I don't have anyone here to go out with, and I get uncomfortable and anxious on my own in public

I filed adoption papers for a cat. I don't know if I will get him, but I am in love

Took the day off and did a lot of cleaning

1. I had a telephone appointment with a consultant that was frustrating but I got everything I needed from it. I’d been dreading it for weeks and it’s DONE
2. Tomorrow I’m going to an art market that sells really weird and macabre stuff and I’m very excited.
3. The Beef is playing BG3 again and keeps excitedly telling me about his Lawful Stupid paladin called Table Crumbler

1. I hiked out into the scrubby-pined dunes of the Cape Cod National Seashore, the smell of pine resin & salt crisp in the cold bright air. I could feel my cells gorging on the hope these survivor pines radiate. If they can thrive in these brutal conditions, so can I!

2. The summer arts calendar for my tiny coastal town is starting to fill to the brim. I’ll be spending every spare dime supporting these efforts.

3. A “summer moss” linen dress for a June wedding.

There's a lot of other things to get swept up in. I endeavor to get swept up in my art practice. I endeavor to get swept up in my grief practice. I endeavor to better know and appreciate myself through growing plants and learning about things I find important.
All of this can be done in isolation, and it can all be done in community and through interaction. I endeavor for the latter. #3goodthings #MyPurpose #ThreeGoodThings #TransJoy

1) Gorgeous drive to and from Lakeport today, up and over the hills from Mendocino County to Lake County. At one point looking down to see a rainbow in the valley next to me.
2) Coach is signing the kiddo up for a couple of JV events in the city HS swim championship. Nice going, freshman!
2) Vacation with family for the next 10 days! (Visiting MIL, but she’s one of my favorite people.)

Today:

- I went to the local garden cafe and everyone else was eating indoors, meaning the only chatter I had to listen to was from the birds

- I started feeling unwell this afternoon, but I’m hopeful it’s not serious. Grateful for painkillers and a negative Covid test 🤞🏼

- I finished reading a good but grim book, and I’m about to start on something lighter

Listening to Benedictine monks singing Gregorian chants on a day of slow rain. Meditative and restful for both me and kitty.

Warm corn tostadas with refried beans and melted cheese. These flavors love to travel together.

Hubby's excitement as he shares what he's learning about St. Joseph of Cupertino, the levitating friar. Fascinating story. Hubby's current passion is reading about levitating saints.

1. Sat in the garden today
2. Drank the wine leftover from the nice dinner the Beef made us and I'm only a little bit itchy?
3. Showed some of my writing (like 550 words) to a friend and the Beef today and they liked it (probably because it's an extended sex joke, essentially, but still!)
