Tag 49 – Zur Abwechslung waren wir an diesem Tag nicht auf eigene Faust unterwegs, sondern haben bei einem Reiseveranstalter in Pakse eine private Tagestour (nur wie Beide + Fahrer) gebucht. Der Myvatn, er wird auch schon in Juni seinem Namen als Mückensee gerecht, einatmen nur noch mit Mund und Nasenschutz. Aber erst in den Abendstunden, soweit man im Juni von solchen überhaupt sprechen kann.

Mit einer anderen Führung ging es zu den Kanching-Wasserfällen, die etwa 30km außerhalb von Kuala Lumpur liegen.

Hier kann man in den eizelnen Ebenenbecken der Fälle schwimmen - schön erfrischend -, muss aber aufpassen, dass die Affen einem nicht währenddessen die Taschen stehlen und durchwühlen.

Der Klukkufoss, etwas abseits und erhöht lohnt er sich in zweifacher Hinsicht. Klar mal wieder einen Wasserfall und einen atemberaubend Ausblick über mit Moos überzogenen Lavafeldern bis zum Meer.

Nature is so amazing, isn't it? It's always changing and we love every single thing about it. When the snow melts, it's like a whole new world opens up. The water refracts the light and the colours of the snow and rock seem to match.

Nothing is more beautiful than immersing yourself in the details of nature.

Der Múlagljúfur Canyon liest man oft als Geheimtipp, so Geheim ist er allerdings nicht mehr. Die Schlucht ist aber trotzdem absolut sehenswert und wirklich beeindruckend. Man sollte nicht nur bis zum Ausichtspunkt vom Múlafoss laufen, sondern den kompletten Wanderweg bis zum Ende und Gipfel, Trittsicherheit vorausgesetzt. Ein Spaziergang ist es zum Ende aber nicht mehr.
