July was quite the month - I graduated from uni (aged 53....its never too late), we got kittens and our local sea-swimmers had their 2nd year anniversary bash where we were joined in our sunset swim by a porpoise. Nice.

Seeing as everyone is massively into memoir all of a sudden, I'd like to remind you that my award-winning one was published last year. Here I am holding it outside J.E.Books, the greatest little book shop in #Hull.
Not a good swim today - there was a ditch in the sand that made a middlin' sized wave knock us over like skittles. After 3 of us getting wiped out, 4 got out and only the tallest & strongest swimmer made it out to calmer water.
Thank goodness for the good swim we had yesterday! It was still lovely catching up with the "mermaids" and starting the day together.

A very chilly day in Withernsea. The cold air blew more than the cobwebs away. Like a lot of northern towns, it had its heyday in Victorian times, but worth a visit.
