Per WAPO, this is heinous. 😠

Three U.S. citizen #children from two different families were deported with their mothers by #Immigration and Customs Enforcement during the early hours of Friday morning. One of them is a 4-year-old with Stage 4 cancer who was #deported without medication or the ability to contact their doctors, the family’s lawyer said.
According to their lawyers, both families were taken into custody while attending routine check-ins this week in New Orleans.

Activist and legal scholar Michele Goodwin claimed on MSNBC that President Donald Trump’s plan to #incentivize women into having #children is motivated by a “fear of the browning and blackening” of the country.

My easiest action of resistance: me, a trans enby guy, very obviously queer, wearing my pronouns/LGBTQ flag buttons doing tours for schools at my local art museum.

It might not be much but I do believe being openly who I am in front of young people, unafraid and proud, is one way to show them it's ok to be whoever you are and that they're not alone. :intersexprogresspride:

Today in Labor History April 26, 1924: The U.S. House of Representatives passed House Joint Resolution No. 184. It was a constitutional amendment to prohibit the labor of persons under 18 years of age. The Senate approved the measure a few weeks later, but it was never ratified by the states and is still technically pending. Even so, the act included many exclusions, like in agriculture. From 2015 to 2022, the number of kids working in violation of child labor laws rose by 283%. And, as you all probably already have heard, many Republican leaders are weakening child labor laws to make it even easier, and legal, to exploit kids in dangerous, low-paid jobs.
