The answers and stories she had for me were both fascinating and unexpectedly heartening. I remember when Facebook became like that. Closed my account in 2016 and never looked back. However, feels a little like sticking your head in the sand. We can’t pretend there aren’t racist undereducated shitheads out there who are having a field day. I feel targeted because I naturalized just a couple a years ago and now according to our new dear leader and his siccophants on X, my children who were born prior to that shouldn’t even have become US citizens at birth. Today was another wake up call. I read a post from someone essentially outlining my journey except they’re still waiting on the Green Card. The sheer amount of vitriol that post generated was beyond the pale.
