Riddle me this.

#Cloned my web/mail #server drive and successfully moved as disk image to new machine. #Ubuntu Server with #Nginx, running #Wordpress site and #Nextcloud, also #Postfix and #Dovecote.

Changed port forwarding on router to new machine.

Email worked again fine, but could not access the Wordpress site, Nextcloud or control panel for Wordpress.
Web browser worked though, LAN and router fine in that way.

Woke up. Wordpress and Nextcloud both working fine.

Great!!.. What!?!? #admin

"Sir #IanWilmut, the British scientist who led the team which #cloned Dolly the sheep, has died, the University of Edinburgh in Scotland confirmed in a statement on Monday. He was 79 years old."

This begs an obvious question about Wilmut's redundancy plan upon his death.

The funny thing is, #Microsoft #BASIC was actually a sales success. Being #pirated by one market of broke college kids opened up a second market of... literally every #microcomputer manufacturer who wanted a working BASIC for their machine.

Which also meant they were working with #IBM and able to sell them #DOS. The IBM #PC got #cloned heavily, which meant more computers to sell #DOS and #Windows on.

Literally all of Microsoft's business is built on the thing they hate: copying.
