The EU paid 21.9 billion euros ($22.9 billion) for Russian fossil fuel imports in the third year of Moscow's invasion of Ukraine, just a 1% year-on-year drop in volumes, according to a new report by the Center for Research on Energy and Clean Air (CREA).

The mural shows a black man with a hat, stretching his hand forward. The focus is on the hand with the ring. The background is blurred and does not show a face. It could be a building that the man is standing in front of, but the mural is specially designed so that you can only see the outstretched hand. Very well done.

Since the #Kremlin launched its invasion of #Ukraine in February 2022, #EU countries have paid €200 billion for Russian fossil fuels, mostly oil and gas, according to an analysis by think-tank #CREA.

Meanwhile, total EU and #US support to the war-torn country stands at just €185 billion, as tracked by the Kiel Institute for the World Economy.
