Yesterday’s Popocatépetl post got me thinking about my two day Acatenango & Fuego hike in Guatemala - so here’s a little
#TBT.

We started in the worst possible conditions - rain and thick fog. Also somehow I ended up going out super later the night before. Youthful recklessness I guess

Anyhow.. just as we reached the peak, the skies cleared, and we got the perfect view of Fuego. The night hike up to the crater, watching eruptions light up the sky every few minutes. Absolutely unreal. Google volcanic lightning if you’ve never seen it before!
Guess I’ll have to go back with a better camera though… my night shots are a disaster.

Also let’s not forget the best guide dogs who walked with us for the full two days!
