I keep forgetting how banging it is to have an actual Roland SC-88 synth on your desk.

Whenever I play a Doom 2 wad that has midi music I go "OH SHIT RIGHT" and absolutely vibe. It is the sound that embodies PC Gaming in the 90s fully for me, and it pleases my dark heart.

After an initial round of feedback, I've tweaked how the BHG "fires" the singularity. Instead of it being thrown from the gun itself, it now spawns wherever you're looking when it fires. Because of this, the player themselves are also beholden to the gravitational pull, which is definitely an added risk to the reward of being able to immediately delete everything across the battlefield...

@emeb @Jyoti For me, it landed at a weird moment yesterday. I’d been mulling The Situation in the US and thinking through the broad strokes of what I hope will become a longish #doom piece.

I paused to look at my phone and this line:

“Pain is easy to portray, but to use your passon and pain to portray the ecstasy and joy and magnificence of our wolrd…”

…well, it really made me aware of my own musical limitations.
