John Roberts blocked a district court order demanding Salvadoran national Kilmar Abrego Garcia be returned to the US by midnight. Suri Crowe responds:

“Roberts is grossly corrupt. I cannot … an innocent man is in a death camp and Roberts pauses his return?!”

Not to be forgotten: Roberts is a "pro-life" Catholic.

By the way—

The SCOTUS order came just hours after the Trump Admin asked Supreme Court to block the district court’s order to get the migrant they deported by “mistake” back.

Mr. Garcia had legally protected status that had been given to him as a result of another court case, so he was not supposed to be deported because he could be in danger if he went back to El Salvador.

Judge Paula Xinis of the Federal District Court in Maryland had said the administration committed a "grievous error" that "shocks the conscience" by sending Mr. Abrego Garcia, to a notorious prison in El Salvador last month. In the administration's emergency application, D. John Sauer, the U.S. solicitor general, said Judge Xinis had exceeded her authority by engaging in "district-court diplomacy," because it would require working with the government of El Salvador to secure his release. "If this precedent stands," he wrote, "other district courts could order the United States to successfully negotiate the return of other removed aliens anywhere in the world by close of business," he wrote. Abrego García has been detained at #CECOT, a mega-prison in #ElSalvador, since #ICE deported him last month, despite a court order forbidding it because he had fled death threats from gang members in his home country.

"Three weeks ago, 238 Venezuelan migrants were flown from Texas to a maximum security prison in El Salvador.

That country's president offered to take them and the Trump administration used a law not invoked since World War II to send them -- claiming they are all terrorists and violent gang members.

The government has released very little information about the men. But through internal government documents, we have obtained a list of their identities and found that an overwhelming majority have no apparent criminal convictions or even criminal charges.

They are now prisoners.

Among them: a makeup artist, a soccer player and a food delivery driver, being held in a place so harsh that El Salvador's justice minister once said the only way out is in a coffin.

The shackled men were forced to lower their heads and bodies as they were unloaded from buses and taken to El Salvador's mega prison, known as the Terrorism Confinement Center, or CECOT."
