Gerade wurde @ente 1.0 released. Eine FOSS-Alternative zu Google Photos / iCloud Photos (oder wie auch immer Apples Photo-Backup heißt). Der erste Eindruck ist echt vielversprechend. Ende-zu-Ende-Verschlüsselung sorgt für erforderliche Privacy, die Unabhängigkeit von Apple und Google sorgt für Cross-Plattform-Komlatabilität und Album-Freigaben mit der Option, dass Freund:innen dort weitere Fotos hochladen können dürfte super nützlich sein... #ente

#ente Photos cloud is an open source end-to-end encrypted media backup service that is a supposed safer and more privacy alternative to Google, so you download it on F-Droid, and you can import photos from Google Photos.
The free tier is...10GB, which was 5GB before the release.
It's just, feel too generous for an open source project. Even Proton only give 5GB for free.
Though, one thing for sure, is that it is better than Google Photos because I can make it to not backup screenshots.

#Ente läuft ebenfalls.
#Nextcloud Zugriff erfolgt direkt via webdav, weil der Linuxclient leider keine virtuellen Files kann und damit nicht sinnvoll nutzbar ist.

Fühlt sich ganz gut an.
