Auf dem Rückweg vom #eh22 habe ich zufällig dieses ehemalige Kaufhaus in der Hamburger Innenstadt entdeckt: "JUPITER. Das einzige Kaufhaus, das dich reicher macht." Ich finde es einfach super.
Various people have spotted #RepRapMicron on a #FabLab chat group and want to make them. There's a conference coming up in a few months, and at this rate I'm going to be running an unofficial workshop!
To give an idea of the #RepRapMicron resolution I've put a human hair on the left. The #Fablab logo fits inside the hole in a Prusa printer nozzle.

De opzet is simpel: Heb je iets tofs gemaakt wat je wilt laten zien, een nieuw idee of half-af project waar je feedback of hulp bij zoekt, een epische mislukking die je wilt delen? Vanaf 20:00 staat het podium open voor korte presentaties en demonstraties. Vooraf stoken we de pizza-oven op.

@daveybot neither can I ... when I have time again. I'm not sure about what direction to go for colors. Originally these patterns have quite strong colors. I'm more inclined to go with earth colors and those #pottery glazes with a lot of depth and variation ... I am in Denmark after all so laid back colors are more the norm.
I use a local #makerspace #fablab run by the council and love exploring how to combine different processes.
Here's a #craft work in progress. #cad drawing in #qcad of an #islamic tile pattern. Engraved that into a piece of plywood with a #lasercut machine. The dark spots are burnt away to a depth of ca. 1.5 mm. I pressed a prepared sheet of clay onto the form and got this pattern. Next step is glazing. Now I know this works, I have lots of ideas.

I’d been making things all my life, but didn’t get why that act warranted capitalization, or a magazine, or becoming a noun+verb+adjective. Rereading the interview now, I’d give myself a C for vision, a B for technology, and A for people."

#Fabricademy bootcamp 2025

Don't miss this year's bootcamp in Brussels to encounter international fellows in the field of #textile, #engineering and #biology.
I am co-organizing it through the #fablab @GreenFabric and the #fabricademy team (@fabtextiles ).
A great opportunity to test Fabricademy themes and way of working through intense hands-on workshops. It will cover #biomaterials with #mycelium #fungi, #modulardesign, #machineknitting with the #kniterate machine, using the #opensourcehardware machines that we built, #etextile with thermochromic inks.
Don't miss also the #MakerFaire on the following week-end (May 26-27) with the Fabricademy exhibition of final projects and a workshop on #softrobotics.
