No i znowu zaległości z #TeamPudełka 📦 🤷🏻‍♂️

Zaczynamy od blast from the past, czyli #PlayStation2, #PlayStation3 i #Xbox360.

Jego źródłem była prezentacja Genji: Days of the Blade.

"Genji Viewing Snow from a Balcony," Toyohara Kunichika, 1867.

Kunichika (1835-1900) was a noted artist of woodblock prints, mostly of kabuki actors and scenes from kabuki plays, but also of beautiful women and historic scenes. He flourished during the Edo era and the Meiji era, in the days when Japan was on the brink of massive cultural upheaval.

This print depicts a scene from the novel The Tale of Genji, about the life and loves of Prince Genji. Here he is, enjoying tea on his balcony. This may have been part of a triptych, with attendants on either side.

From a private collection.

Princess of Sixth Street–inspired by the Tale of #Genji
(Illustrated by Maiji/Mary Huang humangray.com/)

I love "The Lady of the Sixth Street" in the Tale of Genji.

A thousand years ago...
At her fourteen years old,
her noble parents loved her so much, and she just married her husband, Japan's crown prince.

She was free from any anger, anxiety, and other negative emotions.

Ito utsukushi, ito ahare.
(So lovely and beautiful beyond words.)
